NNTAC (Neighborhood Network Technology Access Consortium) was started in 2002 by Karen Heppler, Don Cheney, and Kris Martin. The three of them got together in hopes of finding better funding for their Neighborhood Network Centers as a group. In 2005 they became a separate 501C3, non-profit organization and their goal is to work together with other NN Centers to find better funding so that their centers can continue to thrive in their goals to achieve quality computer technology classes for the low- income & impoverished residents of greater Eastern Washington, and Northern Idaho region.
OUR MISSION
NNTAC (Neighborhood Network Technology Access Consortium) will provide assistance and training of computer technology to the low-income residents in our community. The technology centers will empower the community through teaching job training skills, ESL classes, and special educational programs for children. It will provide links to local, state and federal welfare, health and social security offices. This access to technology will give opportunities to enhance their quality of life.
